Finding the right words to explain how you feel can be hard. Talking face to face with someone who frightens you can be difficult. Learning to listen is a challenge.

At Common Ground, we have been working since 1996 to help people have difficult conversations and find win-win solutions to the problems that make life difficult. We can help you find a way forward that works for you.

In the first instance, trained and experieneced mediators will come and meet with you in your home. They will listen carefully to what has happened to you and explore the things you have tried up to this point. They will help you to generate options for how you could move things forward in future. We will offer the same service to your neighbour and we will find a way, directly or indirectly, for you and your neighbour to communicate. We will help you find a solution that works for both of you and may formalise this in a written agreement. At all stages, the process will be guided by you.
